In your day-to-day marketing and sales operations, you need to be aware of many different kinds of competitors and be prepared to EFFECTIVELY and PROFITABLY take business away from them by working MUCH smarter.

If your company is located in the USA, Canada, or the UK, you need to be aware of a very real competitive threat, at least if you let it become YOUR threat.

The competitive threat I’m referring to here is Geek Squad.

Through its relationship with consumer electronics giant BestBuy, Geek Squad has become a very prominent force to be reckoned with, very quickly, at least in the residential and home office market.  In advertising circulars in Sunday newspapers, you (and your prospects and customers) can find promotions such as "We’ll Get Your New PC Set Up Right For $99"… in-home, including data transfer from your old PC, configuring Internet access and checking network security."

Of course, that’s just for a standalone PC, which perhaps is no longer your company’s bread and butter revenue stream.

What about home office networking?

Cross that off your roster of profitable services now too.

Geek Squad is promoting "Get this Linksys Draft-N-Router plus Installation by a Geek"… bundling in the wireless router hardware itself and connecting 2 PC’s to that router for $229.

And who could forget the BestBuy/Geek Squad promotions offering a well-known standalone anti-virus utility AND in-store installation for $29.

What I really need to know is, are YOU trying to be competitive against $29?!?

And if so, are you nuts? delusional? or just in denial?

Now if you own a retail computer store, or still choose to resell products, you don’t necessarily need to be competitive head-on with Geek Squad’s aggressively priced PC support services and networking services.  BUT, this almost certainly puts downward pressure on your product reselling margins, IF you choose to stay primarily a product reseller.  And if this doesn’t sound a VERY loud wake up call to your business, I don’t know what to tell you.

Unless you have hundreds of millions in capital ready to go to take on a national consumer electronics giant like BestBuy and their Geek Squad services, you MUST shift your business model toward selling COMPREHENSIVE outsourced virtual IT services to small businesses that can’t possibly be well-served by a limited menu of support services for commodity-oriented SOHO products.

What does this mean?

The same thing we’ve been telling computer consulting businesses for YEARS — you need to get out of the residential and home office markets.

You’ve got to move upstream to true small businesses — small businesses that are big enough to REALLY need professional IT assistance on a REGULAR basis, and small businesses that use IT intensely enough to experience severe financial pain when their IT tools flake out on them.

To learn more about how your company can get prepared to effectively AND profitably deal with tough competition from Geek Squad, and any other copycat efforts from other national competitors so you can get more STEADY, high-paying consulting clients, go check out the Computer Consulting Kit Home Study Course right now.

Now here’s how other computer consultants are getting more of the best, STEADY, high-paying, highly profitable consulting clients onto THEIR client rosters, so these computer consulting firms can protect their companies against threats from extremely powerful competitors like Geek Squad.

"The Computer Consulting Kit has turned my reseller/consulting business, with the emphasis on ‘reseller’, into much more of a consultative approach… where we actually get ‘paid’ to pick the products, which we then ’sell’ to the customer… in addition to being ‘paid’ to develop and supply a service agreement, with even more revenue. The Computer Consulting Kit has turned a losing proposition into a serious win-win proposition! Thanks,"

- Walter M. Erla, WME Information Systems, Wayne, New Jersey

"By applying your information to my marketing program, I increased my sales to $80,000 last year and over $100,000 this year. Thanks to the Computer Consulting Kit, my income is back in the six figures."
